Michael Pixis was born in Würzburg and started designing when he was only 17 years old. By that time, he was already selling around the world his brand ”Pixis” -named after his own name- and famous people like Madonna’s daughter wore his t-shirts.
When Michael saw a film about an artist who sold his painting for $60,000 that only had a few blots on it, he decided it would be a great idea to do the same with some t-shirts. The t-shirts became widely popular when a big fan of Pixis’, Christian Audigier, went to Madonna’s house and left a t-shirt outside her front door. After only two days he received over 60 orders.
