MOOD is a brand new mall that opened in the heart of Stockholm the other week. As the name reveals, it’s free from most things you’d usually associate with a consumption hub of these proportions—hectic music, bright lights, pushy shop assistants and any other well-tried way of tricking people into buying more.
Instead, you’re met with soft, atmospheric lighting, a tastefully designed interior with careful attention to detail, and boutiques, restaurants and cafés offering a relaxed shopping experience—an unexpected, yet most welcome concept for a mall. Another plus is that while most other stores close at around 6 PM on weekdays, MOOD stays open until 8 PM. They also publish a free magazine that, unsurprisingly, focuses on a harmonious lifestyle and quality design.
