Doing It Easy With Web Radio

Kuma | June 29th, 2012

Terrestrial radio very rarely serves the needs of Vancouver’s electronic music community. So outside of a few stalwarts, people look to the internet. If you like the techno, then you’re looking at DE Radio.

If you want your finger on the pulse of house and techno in Vancouver, DE Radio’s 24/7 stream is a pretty good way to get there. An offshoot of the party throwing manifestations of Marc Gerrard and Major Tom of the DE Kollektiv, DE radio began as an opportunity broadcast sets recorded at DE parties and has turned into a community point for Vancouver.

On any given night you could tune in and hear Austin Phillips, Caleb Fox, Miss Myte, Josh Garrett or the Wanted! DJs. All of them movers and shakers in the Vancouver electronic dance music scene. With international talent broadcasting in great frequency on the station as well, DE Radio is turning out to be a hub for world wide electroni-culture.
