Launched in Maui, Hawaii back in ’09 Sugarhigh and Lovestoned is an uber trippy clothing company currently running all production out of the Portland Garment Factory and it will be their 2nd season they have run the label out of Portland. ‘Stoned is yet another Kickstarter success story.
Tami, who is half of the company tells me:
We have also worked with a few of Rip-City’s best up and coming photographers and videographers for our Lookbook collections as well as some local Pacific NW talent for both the models as well as the behind the scenes. We shot our FW 2012-13 campaign at great local gritty hot spots like the bohemian love den, Pie’d Cow- the indie rockin record empire Crossroads Records and at the somewhat off-the beaten-path, mesmerizingly intriguing Longfellow’s Books.
Mesmerizing indeed. Tami goes on to tell me:
Chloe–my business partner in crime currently runs the styling/social media side of things out of Sunny Santa Cruz. We do have plans on moving our label back to it’s native roots in Maui starting FW 2012-13.
Well, not to end on a sad note, but we’ll hate to see them go. Although we won’t stop wearing their fantastic pieces just because they won’t be local much longer. It’s just too good!
