The great minds behind Sweden’s most acclaimed and one of its most popular festivals, Way Out West, in Gothenburg, have decided to grace the capital with a quality festival of its own. 
Stockholm Music & Arts will take place on the scenic museum island Skeppsholmen on August 3-5, and Stockholmers are so pleased about this new culture festival it sold out almost immediately. Or maybe they just really wanted to see Patti Smith. The first instalment will offer all the amenities ageing hipsters could possibly wish for—quality music, food and art, at a location that’s only a walk away from their newly refurbished inner city flats. The festival line-up includes, among others, Patti Smith, Björk, Marianne Faithfull, Antony and the Johnsons and Tinariwen.
