Biggest Fashion Show of The Year

Marissa | July 27th, 2012

Alley 33, in it’s second year is one of those events that people are really going to start looking forward to every summer from here on out. What it is is a non-pretentious fashion show that’s goal is to give local, talented, designers a platform to show their wares while hanging out in an alley next to one of the most popular bars in Portland (Gold Dust Meridian) on one of the busiest streets in Portland (Hawthorne).

In it’s first year last summer it went off without a hitch, running super smoothly despite it being a baby. This year is bound to be so much bigger and so much better it’s almost laughable. With local celeb models, Portland apparel designers, including Ms. Wood‘s Alicia Wood, Claire Vintage Inspired, and a collaboration between J. Calderon and Das Racist’s Himanshu Suri, they’re really not messing around this summer folks. Emceed by local fashion editor and all around funny lady Eden Dawn of The Portland Monthly this is a show for the ages and one not to be missed even if you wear crocs and think mom jeans are still just for moms.
