Don’t get me wrong I LOVE Carly Rae Jepsen’s ear-buggiest song of the year “Call Me Maybe.” LUV! But yes, the covers are getting old (read: kinda awesome) and with everyone from the Miami Dolphins cheer-leading squad doing a video to hot abed Abercrombie models in Europe lip singing in British Telephone booths it’s getting a little quite out of control.
Let’s just say I’ve been trying to get my co-workers to do one for over a month now, so the trend is anything but new. Until a place like Seaame Street does one, then it’s all new and awesome again. “Me got a wish on me mind it is a chocolate chip kind…” trust me Cookie, I can relate. All of a sudden I’m smiling at my work computer desk talking in Cookie Monster’s voice and bopping my head to the Canadian songstresses jam of all jams!
