Having breakfast at Chilakillers Loungería is a thrilling experience that begins the moment you see the small place on the other side of Revolucion Avenue. It’s a small place, well served, well decorated, where owners and guests smile with ease, regardless of all those cars outside.
When Juan Segura built the Ermita building in 1930 on the corner of Revolución and Jalisco, he probably never imagined that nearly 100 years later the spiciest chilaquiles in the whole capital would be served there. In order to see and be seen in Chilakillers you need to go on a Sunday at noon. There’s no better place to recover from a hangover in all of Tacubaya. La experiencia de desayunar en Chilakillers Loungería se vuelve excitante desde que uno divisa el pequeño local del otro lado de Av. Revolución. Se trata de un espacio reducido, bien atendido, bien decorado, donde propietarios y comensales sonríen con facilidad, a pesar de los coches afuera.
