The most complete collection on the life and work of British naturalist Charles Darwin (the father of the evolution theory) is one of the most important exhibitions of the American Museum of Natural History (New York) and it finally has made its way to Bogota, being the first time in Latin America country.
The exhibition first opened in Korea and Hong Kong in November 2008 and has already visited more than 25 countries. Fortunately, it will be in Colombia from August 2012 until June 2013 and it will be a must-see place. The venue is La Esperanza, wich used to be a cloister, and is one of my favorite places in the city for arquitecture and energy.
The exhibition gives huge amount of importance to Darwin’s biography, which is actually very interesting and provides a lot of information on contemporary reactions to the theory and how it influenced science.

Darwin: la exhibición llega a Colombia
La colección más completa sobre la vida y obra del naturalista británico Charles Darwin (el padre de la teoría de la evolución) es una de las exposiciones más importantes del American Museum of Natural History de Nueva York, y por fin ha llegado a Bogotá, siendo su primera vez en América Latina.
La exposición se inauguró en Corea y Hong Kong en noviembre de 2008 y ya ha visitado más de 25 países. Afortunadamente se convertirá en una parte importante de la ciudad desde agosto hasta junio de 2013. La sede es La Esperanza, que antiguamente era claustro; uno de mis lugares favoitos de la ciudad por su arquitectura y energía.
La excibición le da un gran protagonismo a la biografía de Darwin, la cual es realmente muy interesante y asimismo ofrece una gran cantidad de información sobre las reacciones contemporáneas a la teoría y cómo influyó en la ciencia.
