Ayşe Erkmen is a Turkish artist who lives and works in Istanbul and Berlin. For her new exhibition in London’s Barbican Gallery, Intervals, Erkmen has created a moving scenery, an interactive installation where a series of scenic backdrops move up and down on an automated fly system, translating the language of theatre into an art gallery.
