Around the globe in 1 day (until March 2012)
6500 tons of sand were transported from the Sumapaz river (not that far from Bogota) to put the exhibition together. The sand has to have certain conditions for the 25 foot tall pieces, and it’s extracted from the bottom of the river, which is called New Sand in the “Sand World”.
