aka The ATL, Hotlanta, The Big Peach, A-Town

Julian | August 11th, 2011

I’ve had the good fortune of staying in some pretty solid hotels whenever I’ve had the opportunity to travel. And while I really enjoy the whole, not having to clean up after myself aspect, I’m not really the hotel type. Read More

The Morning

Julian | July 29th, 2011

Not only is this one of my favorite songs out right now and a welcome addition to the soundtrack of my hedonistic lifestyle, House Of Balloons, the debut EP from enigmatic Canadian group the Weeknd is one of the best albums of the year thus far. Read More

Jersey Shore (Italy)

Julian | July 28th, 2011

Judge me. Judge them… I don’t care. For better and worse,  these are my people; I’m not Italian but I am a Yankee and like much of the cast, a New Yorker. Read More

The Dark Knight Rises

Julian | July 21st, 2011

I am an extremely proud Christopher Nolan fan boy. If his next movie is about him directing a film about watching paint dry, I would be there opening day. Read More

America’s Best Dance Crew (Commercial)

Julian | April 21st, 2011

America’s Best Dance Crew, my favorite reality dance show and one of my favorite television shows in general, is back for its sixth season. This year, there’s an all girl crew from New Zealand of all places, a crew of ten year olds from the Jersey Shore representing for the future guidos of America and even a pole dancing (yes, you read that correctly) crew. If you’re not glued to your television set every Thursday night at 10pm, I’m not really sure what the hell you’re doing with your life.

Thor, One Step Closer to the Avengers

Julian | April 21st, 2011

My nerd senses begin tingling whenever I realize we’re getting closer and closer to an ‘Avengers’ movie (as alluded to in the Edward Norton version of ‘Hulk’ and ‘Iron Man II’). Read More

Party Rehab

Julian | April 20th, 2011

If you enjoy drinking and partying as much as I do, then you’ll love the Tumblr Party Rehab. Started by a 23 year old bartender, Party Rehab has quickly become one of the most popular Tumblr blogs with over 40,000 followers. Go for the assortment of pictures but stay for the dizzying array of drink recipes and drinking games that will likely make you a few new friends by the end of the night (it should be noted the vast majority of recipes are more geared towards college students, so don’t expect to learn how the make the perfect Manhattan).

Julian | March 25th, 2011

From Monique Lhuiller's Fall 2011 Ready to Wear collection...

The Yankee in me is extremely sad I’m not up in New York during Fashion Week. One year, I keep telling myself. Until then, I’ll be obsessively refreshing Tumblr’s New York Fashion Week page. Read More

Down and Durty: Birthday Celebration

Julian | March 10th, 2011

Birthday celebrations for me rarely end well. Rather, they do end well… a little too well. I’ve gotten some amazing gifts this year (a friend had a small batch of absinthe commissioned for me that will be ready in about two weeks) and while my birthday was on the 11th, my primary birthday celebration will be at Graveyard Tavern for Down & Durty with fellow birthday boy Jay Envy and the rest of our Cobra Corps family. Microvision Show WX+ Projector

Julian | March 1st, 2011

This is definitely one of the coolest gadgets I’ve heard about in awhile – a mobile projector. From Microvision, the Show WX+ hooks up to an iPod/Phone/Pad (or with an adapter to a laptop and a digital camera) and viola, you now have a projector. All you need is a dark wall. Well, you also need high resolution photos, television shows or movies stored on whatever you hook the Show WX to. After that you’re good to go. It’s priced at $450 dollars.
