benji

Name: Benji R.

City: Berlin, Germany

Originally a Frankfurter Benjamin first moved to Berlin in 1994 to work for BildZeitung, but left again to study Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Having worked for different TV channels and production companies in Munich, London and Hamburg he moved back to Berlin in 2002. Benjamin launched the German edition of VICE magazine in 2005, which quickly became Germanys most important reference for the tastemaking audience. In 2008 Vice received the ADC Gold for “Best German Magazine”. When not busy running a fast growing media company or scouting for new trends in art, music, technology, design and fashion, Benjamin is dedicating his time to private uncommissioned research into critical media theory.

Born in Frankfurt, he is naturally a Eintarcht Frankfurt support, which does not make his life always very easy.
