igor_compName: Igor Z.
City: Moscow, Russia

Igor started his gonzo-career in school, on the shores of Baltic Sea, where he launched a school-radio station which “polluted neighborhood air with bizarre tunes for a couple of months” and was then was successfully, if unsurprisingly, shut down.

After moving to Moscow he has been floating between freelance collaborations with local fanzines and hard studies at the University of International Relations – itself a breeding ground for countless art and music projects.

Igor’s obsession with music and print eventually led him into the world of “serious” media business. He got involved into the team of Xyligan magazine – a leading Russian title about contemporary urban culture. Igor was also behind the deal between Xyligan and Dazed & Confused which has eventually become a syndication partner of the magazine. At the moment he is overloaded with a number of event projects in addition to his work as editor-in-chief for Xyligan’s web site.
