Austin is the perfect place for Lee: it is a place which “affords artists the time and place to work.” She is never not working. She balances being a film/video artist with teaching filmmaking/video production at the public access television center, channelAustin. Additionally, she is a freelance writer, video designer for theater and a film editor.
She is an integral part of a very “Austin” scene – part of a huge social group of artists and musicians who do most of their partying at laid-back outdoor events. According to Lee, one of the key benefits of living in a smaller city – as compared to say, New York – is being able to sample everything. From art openings, music shows, cinema, and restaurants – the new and unusual are never off her radar.
