Scouts

Name: Marissa S.

City: Portland, OR

Originally from the SF Bay Area, Marissa moved to Portland about a year ago in pursuit of the “amazing” fashion and music scenes. Marissa writes a popular fashion blog, Portland’s Pretty, which combines street fashion photography with on-the-scene fashion event coverage along with a column for the local ByronBeck website called “Marissa’s Musings.

Marissa describes her main hobby now as “clothes, fashion, styling, and writing about all of the above.”  She has an outgoing, vivacious personality (it’s clear from her photos that she’s always the life of the party) and says she “loves to laugh.”

Marissa’s involvement with local blogs give her a “great sense of what’s going on in the city.”  She attends fashion and music shows weekly, often seeing local bands or friends’ shows, and the rest of her social life revolves around “one of the millions of awesome bars in Portland – preferably one with karaoke.”
