martin

Name: Martin B.
City: Stockholm, SE

Born and bred in Croydon (don’t hold it against him), with a slight break in the cornish countryside at an early age. Six years ago Martin exchanged the daily commute for his love of Stockholm and launched a communications agency – AWorldBeneath.

Martin is of many talents – studied and practiced as a graphic designer, club promoter, festival promoter, DJ before moving into PR where he handled brands such as Vans, Umbro, Casio, 3 and ASOS.com. His group created the concept Umbro by Kim Jones for Umbro which was then taken out into The Nordics, Central Europe, Japan and USA where it proved a huge success.

On moving to Sweden, Martin created one of the best Scandinavian fashion stores BENEATH, a t-shirt brand Midnight Division, and then launched VICE in the Nordics. Now spending most of his time working for AWorldBeneath he is Account Manager for brands like Nike, Burton Snowboards, WeSC & Urban Outfitters. If you like lists, for the third year running he is included in the top 100 people in Swedish Fashion (there are only two non-Swedes in that list, Martin and one Italian).
