Born in Hamburg in 1982 Linus was always fascinated by movies. So it was no wonder that he started very early on his career as a director. But it is a long way to go from being the head of the videoclass at school to being invited to the 2010 Berlinale with his movie Gray Hawk.
The Movie is about an odd couple, father and son, both die hard rockabillies and not at all interested in fashion, popular culture, or whatever, until the day the father discovers that there is a secret life his son has been living, out there in the world beyond rockabilly. The movie was shot on 16mm and has already been a huge succes at the festivals this year, which is a good thing for Linus, due to the fact that the film’s production company, Schattenkante, is also run by him and his sister.
