The blogs differ in subject and format: Crooked Timber is a group blog which covers academia and politics, Kottke.org is a personal blog which covers internet-type-stuff (fonts, cool games, interesting stories) from a smart angle, and Acephalous is the blog of a university professor who covers literary and comic criticism with a great wry tone.
