Name: Djavid Rawat
Age: 32
Activities: I own a bar, Le Motel (since early 2007) and an Indian restaurant, Le Tiffin (since late 2010). I also run the bars at the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris and the bar of a new venue, Le Trabendo, and I manage a band called SHIT BROWNE.
How would you describe these places? Friendly, open, musically challenging.
Thing you’re proud of ? To have managed the bars at the Pitchfork Festival in Paris last October. It was packed, our first experience on a festival, and everything went incredibly well. In retrospect, I think we had luck.
A technology item you find interesting ? Hi-speed beer tap. Serves a pint of beer in less than 5 seconds. Really impressive isn’t it? Much more useful than an iPhone.
Do you like sport ? I love football. I dutifully support Bordeaux, I play every Wednesday, and still I’m not really good at it. That’s a bit sad.
Who’s your French hero ? As Stephen Malkmus and Dan Treacy aren’t French, I’d said… Georges Brassens
