I knew nothing of Valentino as a person before watching “Valentino: The Last Emperor.” I was wowed by his skill as a designer, and as it turns out, who he is as a person. The documentary follows an ‘average’ workday with Valentino and his longtime partner. Seeing the designs magnified on the screen was so exciting! He is a wonderful man, loves to be surrounded in beauty, says he can ONLY design dresses.
