Been re-watching The Wire for the second time. We stopped at episode two of everybody’s favourite Season 4. Is it just me or does it get a bit hammy in that season?
Marlo’s gang are amazing but Daniels and Pearlman’s whole thing is painful to watch. I can do a pretty good Daniels impression but it’s difficult to translate over the internet via the written word.
All you have to do is talk in a deep pronounced whisper, be very very serious and employ a strange use of emphasis EG: “PLEASE can you get me a cup of TEA from the KITCHEN? If there are any BISCUITS left, I would like to have one of THEM as well. Thank you very MUCH McNULTY”. My girlfriend found it funny the first time I did it which was about 97 times ago.
