Wretch was set up in 1999 by fresher, Zhi-Yu Jian, at National Chiao Tung University. Initially, the BBS site was an intranet aimed at students of computer science and information engineering to get them to communicate and exchange info with one another.

When the functions were fully programmed, it opened its doors to outsiders. Jian likes to look at hot babes’ pictures so much that he would spend over two hours browsing every day. Since he was not satisfied with the transmission speed and user-interfaces, he designed a photo website, and combined it with his original BBS. Users could now log in to use the photo album functions with just a BBS account and password. Soon, this site attracted many users. The webmaster collects as many pictures of young beauties as possible.
Boys with buoyant hormones just go crazy over this site. Since Wretch boosts the reputation of hot babes, many girls who want to show themselves off have begun to upload their own pictures. The news began to spread that every one of the three albums is a really hot chick. Simple functions makes it easy for popular pictures to hyperlink with each other — hot beauties all around.
With Wretch’s expanding reputation, hot Taiwanese ladies have formed a style formula of their own from dressing, hairstyle, makeup, shooting angle, and a slightly sexy disclosure etc. This has confused me all too often — I kept thinking I was looking at the same person’s album, but the albums were of different people.
